WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT IT:

Eric Carle has certainly done a great job at both illustrating and writing this book. What we really enjoyed about this book was Eric Carle’s colourful and cute illustrations.

Seen in almost every children’s corner at the National Library, the book follows the life of a green long-bodied little caterpillar with a little red head who is on a food hunt; eating his way to transition. This is definitely one very hungry caterpillar, who literally eats twice its weight and we found ourselves laughing at the different types of food that the caterpillar ate along his journey.

We are pretty sure your child will be awed by this fun and witty classic. It is definitely the book to have for every budding reader out there!

Look out for the holes in the middle of the food images, they are actually punched holes within the book!
